Book Signing in Beirut
With Tamyras as her publisher Dina launches her book Le Goût De Marjeyoun (The Taste Of Marjeyoun) at Salon du Livre de Beyrouth in Beirut in October 2015. An annual book fair that promotes the Francophone in the region and in Lebanon, “le Salon du Live Francophone de Beyrouth” has become the third largest after Paris and Montreal. Dina has originally written her book in English, but her French-Lebanese publishing house automatically translates her book into French. Dina signs both versions during the fair, and presents her book live on mtv.

After her book launch Dina holds an event at the restaurant Tawlet in Beirut, where she cooks and serves various dishes from her book. With the help of the restaurant’s chefs and family members she prepares an event that caters for more than a hundred people only in three days after the signing. A home chef herself with little experience in restaurant business, she is a bit nervous, of course. Finally, the closed event turns to be a success, and even attracts regulars that refuse to miss the chance of savouring new regional dishes.
Cooking Courses 20th Anniversary
In November 2015 Dina celebrates the twentieth Anniversary of her cooking classes at the Volkshochschule in Schwandorf. In a festive ceremony organised by the school, Dina is honoured for her accomplishment and commitment throughout the years. A private party is held afterwards attended by the town Mayor Andreas Feller, the school Director Franz Xaver Huber, school Manager Barbara Genzken-Schindler and her loyal students. Dina and a few cooking enthusiasts from her cooking courses prepare selected dishes and sweets from her large repertoire.
Book Signing in Schwandorf
In February 2016 Dina signs her book at the bookstore “Buecherwelt” in Schwandorf, Germany. Friends and students from her cooking, English and Arabic classes flock into this little boutique bookshop (now unfortunately closed after 15 successful years) to have their personal copy signed.
Book signing in Paris
On March 19, 2016 Dina travels to Paris for different book signing events. In her luggage she packs 100 freshly baked Kaik bi haleeb from her book to offer in the coming occasions. There she meets her publisher Tamyras and other new authors. The first event takes place at Le Marais where “Les Journées Du Liban” are held as Franco-Lebanese Festivities. For the second edition a rich cultural program is organised by l’Union Libanaise Culturelle Mondiale (Ulcm-France) and a collective of French-Lebanese associations.
On the same Day, Dina signs her book at the Stand Liban at Salon Du Livre De Paris. Lebanese publishers present their books and introduce new authors.
At the stand L’oiseau Indigo at the Salon du Livre Dina signs her book. Visitors like the book and fall in love with her kaik bi haleeb!
The highlight of the Paris events is the book signing at l’Office du Tourisme du Liban.
