About the Book
The Taste of Marjeyoun is a Lebanese cookbook concentrating on the rich cuisine of Jdeidet Marjeyoun, a small town in Southern Lebanon. Its location at the cross roads of Syria, Palestine and Jordan allowed for commercial, cultural and social connections that resulted in a common thread of dishes that can be seen all through the region. However, other influences such as local ingredients, climate and spice preferences have contributed to discernable differences and distinctive flavours that set Marjeyouni cuisine apart from the rest.
This book is all about the food of family, warm kitchens and grandmothers.
